I ended my binge-restrict eating cycle and learned to love my body

I was committed (or so I thought) to doing whatever it took to lose weight. This meant skipping meals to save calories, then binge eating at night. Recommitting to exercise at the start of every month only to give up halfway into the first week. It meant ditching soda and chocolate "for good," then eating to the point of nausea every afternoon. I knew I needed to change, but I was so confused and overwhelmed that I just kept doing the same things.

On a Saturday in August 2019, I was getting ready for one of the most exciting days I had had in a long time: I was going to meet Tee Higgins, my favorite football player! I had a shirt made that said “This is my favorite Tee-Shirt ,” planned my Instagram caption, and bought a ball for him to sign. I was so excited to get a picture with him, but when I saw how the photo turned out, I hated it. I hated myself in the photo. That day, I promised myself that I would make a change (and this time, for real).

In March of the following year, when the world shut down, I joined a group of women who were also working on their health. For the first time, things started to make sense, and I no longer felt overwhelmed by the concept of being "healthy." I developed a strategy for eating healthy meals, exercising consistently, and drinking enough water. This strategy became known as The B.A.S.I.C.S. of healthy living in my program, The B.Healthy Breakthrough.

From there, my binge- restrict eating cycle ended very quickly.

Over time, the guilt I once felt after every meal disappeared completely. I began to love looking in the mirror and became confident in my own skin for the first time.

The picture from 2019 broke my heart, but I now realize that my heart needed to break in order to heal. I now fully understand what it means to be healthy and have all the tools necessary to maintain my health every day. Instead of feeling overwhelmed and confused, I feel confident. I am confident in my food choices, my ability to persevere through difficult times, and in my body.

The women I work with seek confidence and a positive body image. They desire knowledge on how to eat healthy, exercise consistently, and still enjoy their favorite foods without restrictions.  While their goal is to lose weight, they understand that developing healthy habits is essential for sustainable weight loss.

During my 1-1 coaching sessions, I guide clients to set small goals that fit their current lifestyle and are sustainable for them. I also equip them with knowledge on healthy food, meal preparation, and sustainable exercise practices, as well as strategies for increasing water intake and developing habits for quality sleep. My program is personalized to meet your unique needs.

who I love working with

"She is amazing. Laura has really listened to my needs and given me amazing tips."

- Paula

Sometimes we need guidance to find our path and she has helped me find mine. Your relationship with food will change and you will be happier overall.

"Laura doesn’t only focus on food or exercise"

- Allison

she focuses on me as a person and what I need, which is so helpful and encouraging!

"If you're on the fence about working with Laura, I HIGHLY suggest you just do it."

- Katelyn

Laura does a great job of meeting you where you are without judging you. She uses a personalized approach and makes it easy for you to implement changes. One thing I've learned from her is the importance of making routine, small changes that eventually turn into big, life changes. The best small change you can start with is signing up to work with her.

"I’ve been sleeping better"

- Allison

I’ve been sleeping better and I have stopped relying on caffeine to get me through each day.

"I had lots of sweet cravings and this was the main issue I wanted to focus on"

-  Paula

Laura has taught me that I can stop my cravings by just following simple steps. I have control over my cravings now, and I have learned how to balance my meals. My relationship with food is way better, I do not have to restrict myself. I used to hate meal planning and was very basic, she has pushed me out of my “comfort” and now I meal plan and enjoy preparing my food.

"Laura has been absolutely amazing!"

-  Marielle

She has helped me uncover many deep emotions regarding exercise and food that I never knew were the main reasons holding me back. She listens, asks powerful questions, and really gets to the root of what is going on. Her coaching approach is something I love about her program because she cares about helping you get healthy and teaching you how, rather than just telling you to "exercise and lose weight." I highly recommend her; she is the best!
